Guessing Mercer's Ross Cummings must still be injured as he has not played since December

I wonder if he will try to get a redshirt year? Mercer would probably like to have a proven scorer coming back. If Cummings leaves they only have Jeff Gary back. Cummings has only played six games this year. He averaged almost 10 points a game and about 46% of his threes during those games.

Mercer listed attendance as 4,072 yesterday. Their official arena capacity is listed as 3,200. Have they been covering seats with a tarp lately?

Google shows their capacity at 3,500
They are full of BS on announced attendance though, when we played there earlier this year they announced 3,100 when it was probably more like 1,100 - I don't trust their announced attendance figures one bit

Mercer's official website says their arena seats 3,200. The one picture I saw from the game showed good seat coverage and some fans standing at the top behind a railing. Their coach commented about having a "good atmosphere" after their big upset at ETSU. I have seen some of their games this year and also thought the attendance announced seemed optimistic, but maybe they were right about Saturday.

Hawkins Arena has some unique advantages. Mercer's basketball arena is in the same building as their university center and physical activity center in the middle of campus. It's a smart move.

It'd be like Furman having a single facility that was the UC/Timmons/PAC. There's a lot of foot traffic.

Season tix holders, we need to outdo the student section. Show up and show out.
