We would have to be seeded 7 to 10 to play on the first day. That is not going to happen. We will play 3 games, winning the tournament to go to the Big Dance.

I would like to see us finish at least 7-2 over second half of SoCon. 24-7 overall. 14-4 in SoCon. We are certainly capable.

The website teamrankings.com predicts we currently have a 22.4% chance of getting an autobid. They also predict most likely NCAA seed would be a #10 or #11 seed. ETSU is predicted to have a 39.2% chance of getting the autobid.

Final record of 24-7 regular season and 14-4 SoCon is their current prediction for Furman. So, they predict 7-2 the rest of the way.

Yes. I am saying FU won't win the SoCon Tournament. Of course, I hope the team proves me wrong.

Fallout is done the only important game is the next game which happens to be tonight against VMI...be there or well Fallout...

As usual, I think we are not as great as some think we are.
As usual, I like to remind people of that fact, if they think we are greater than I think we are.
… So … apparently we are now 15-5.
I can see us winning 7 more regular season games and losing 4 more regular season games.
That will give us a 22-9 record, a 12-6 record in the SoCon, at the end of the regular season.
That will be good.
In the SoCon Tournament, we may win 3 games, but not 4 games.
So if we do win 3 and lose in the final, that would give us a 26-10 record at the end of the regular season. If we win only 2 or only 1, then 25-10 or 24-10.
Hopefully 26-10, 25-10, or 24-10 would allow us to play in the NIT, where we could go 1-1 and end up 27-11, 26-11, or 25-11.
We are not consistent enough, and we do not have a deep enough bench, to do better than the above.
We will not win the SoCon.

Jan 22 over Samford gives us 1 of the remaining 7 regular season games that I said we’d win against 4 losses. 6-4 from here on.

Jan 25 over Citadel makes the 2nd of the remaining 7 regular season wins predicted (w 4 losses, none so far). 5-4 from here on.

Jan 28 OT > VMI = 3rd of 7 wins predicted (w 4 losses predicted, 0 on those so far). 4-4 from here on in our games before tournament starts. I believe we can win 4 of our remaining 8. In fact, I hope we end up winning more.

The fallout after the abysmal performance tonight is much more than just one loss.
1. Our lofty national ranking has taken a huge hit. Right now, down 24 spots in the last week.
2. The very small chance to get an NCAA at large bid is now completely gone.
3. The chance of an NIT at large is now becoming real iffy if not gone.
4. Chances of winning the regular season and auto NIT bid is very minute.
5. We had a lot of local peeps thinking and saying FU is the best team in the state. Now gone and laughable.
6. A big hit to what was seemingly a growing fan base. No telling how many potential fans tonight cost us.
7. There could be no more damaging loss than to WC.
8. The national perception that FU is good took a damaging blow.
The rest of the season? It all depends on how the team reacts. If they make a total about face things could of course go better but here IMHO is my best guess:
My guess is we could finish from 3rd to 6th and at least avoid the play-in game;
Probable wins: Home: Sammy, VMI, Mercer, Citadel
Probable losses: at WCU, at ETSU, at UNCG, home: Wofford
Could go either way: at Citadel, at Sammy, Home: UTC
If the above is in the ballpark we would finish somewhere between 12-6 to 10-8 which would avoid the play-in game, which is what we need to shoot for now. Overall we would finish 23-9 to 21-11. Worst case would be 19-12. What's your prediction?

We may never, ever be able to beat Wofford, but affirm does think we can somehow scrape together 3 more wins from our remaining regular season schedule of

Citadel.
Guessing the best 3 chances may be vs Citadel, Samford, and ???????????.

If this Furman team can play every game like last night's against Mercer, they could beat anybody in the conference and a lot of teams outside of the Socon. I don't think I have seen Furman play with as much defensive intensity as they did last night. Mercer players didn't have enough room to even breathe, let alone take an open look.

... see no reason why we can’t win the next four games heading to Western in Feb, at which point we would be 19-5.

So far so good ... believe that we will beat Samford, Chattanooga and The Citadel, which gets us to 22 wins. Toss ups at Western, at ETSU, vs. Wofford and at UNCG. Hoping to win at least 2 of those to get to 24-7, 14-4, which will be close to a regular season title.
