From today's "The Football Scoop" website:

Coastal Carolina: Sources tell FootballScoop that Furman (FCS – SC) defensive line coach Josh Miller is expected to join the Coastal Carolina staff.

Does Coastal exclusively look at our staff when they need to fill a position? Feels like they've taken several of our guys over the years.

Why not, we never put up a fight?

Good for Coach Miller if that is what he wants to do. They could probably use him, they had an awful year. It will not be hard to hire a D Line coach to come to Furman.
Congrats to Coach Miller.

Connect the dots. Chadwell, Staggs, and Miller were all on the CSU staff together.
Good point. Was also thinking Patrick Covington, but couldn't remember if he ever was on staff at Furman.

On a separate note, I would love to play Coastal again ... we owe them big time for a lot of awful losses. But I'm guessing they have zero interest in that.

Coastal will be looking for another coach. Covington is leaving, also.

Just curious where is Covington going?
Coach Covington is going to Lamar University as OC/OL coach.
He's been at Coastal for many years now with I'm sure plenty of chances to leave for different jobs. I'm kinda surprised this is the one that made him leave. Notwithstanding the playoff appearance over the Paladins in 2018, Lamar might be one of the last teams I think of when I think of FCS schools.

I think he got to know Coach Morgan when he was CCH's asst OL at Air Force. Coach Morgan was the QB coach at AF and later at San Diego State.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
