But that’s the problem. If we want to connect with GREENVILLE, we need to market to GREENVILLE. Who’s visiting those sites that don’t already know about Furman basketball playing there?
Valid questions and certainly something should be done, hard to pin-point what really has the most bang for buck effect in marketing a FU basketball game

My guess is 2,100 to 2,500 absolutely max. Winthrop is not a drawing card even if they are a good team. Xmas season. I suspect it (folks in sears) will look sort of bad.
I think this might be close. Really depends on students. Another thing is how many season ticket holders show up. If you have a Christmas party you could still go after the game. On Turesday I counted 1,969 tickets sold.

So you are counting tickets in sections 101-104 and 112-115?

Students will be sitting on the floor seats, hopefully we can fill those up, then I guess the general admission section will add a few as well, but not possible to view how many of those are sold online.

Also they have just opened part of sections 100, 105, 111 and 116 for sale online as well
Yes, the 4 sections on both sides.

Agreed that just promoting on Furman or the arena's website isn't enough. The key is targeted social media and website ads. So people in Greenville and the surrounding areas get a promoted ad about the game when they check Facebook or go to The Greenville News' or Walmart's website. I'm sure that's already being done. Marketing/ad people aren't dumb, and I'm sure Furman has hired some good ones that specialize in that sort of thing.

Winthrop lost at TCU tonight 70-60. 4 point game with 10 to go then TCU pushed it to 19 with 2 to play. Chatty leads VPI with 4 to play.

Channel 4 tonight had an interview with CBR which was the entire sports report. At the end they gave the FU/NGU score and that was it. This is the type of publicity we need and can’t buy.

About Us

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
