You have to remember it’s body of work. . Not just head to head. If a 1-7 team beat an 8-0 team no way shoukd the 1-7 team surpass the now 8-1 team in poll. Granted in Fuman v Woff the records are close in many spots so head to might shoulda moved the needle a little more. Still
Go Citadel!FUpaladin08 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 1:31 pmYep, this essentially proves the name recognition argument. Furman has been ranked all year and made appearances in the Top 10. Wofford lost the pollsters when they dropped out of the Top 25 and are on the long climb back. Wouldn’t be surprised to see them ahead of us if we both win this week The body of work will be better once Wofford plays Citadel.
Yep and I think IF we had punched in another score or 2 I think we are prolly up another couple of spots. Can't believe WC moved up only 3 spots. I suspect we will see a similar drop in the STATS poll when it comes out later today and I wouldn't be surprised if WC is ahead of us in that one.
If it's body of work, then Woffy should be ahead of our Paladins. I have a feeling that even if we beat Point by 50 and Woffy beats The Citadel by 1 point, Woffy will move ahead of us in the last poll, if there is one. Is the playoff field the final regular season poll?gofurman wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 12:45 pmYou have to remember it’s body of work. . Not just head to head. It’s always hard to get in poll. And it’s hard to fall out. Name recognition is a big thing to poll guys. They leave the current teams in the poll for a loss or two. Right or wrong they just do.
Again I want Austin Peay or whomever. Not KSU now. Not until these coaches prove we can stop a running team and complete passes vs a tough D
