Since we hope to be in the playoffs whether we beat Wofford or not, can be start discussing possible playoff scenarios etc. or are we going to wait until this time next Saturday?

Beat Wofford next Saturday and we will get a Top 8 seed guaranteed

Here are the scenarios in my opinion:

- Beat Wofford and Point and we are probably a top 8 seed and have a bye.

- Lose to Wofford and beat Point or beat Wofford and lose to Point and it’s hopefully hosting a home game first round, but maybe a road game.

- Lose to both - no playoffs.

Let's not even entertain the thought of losing to Point.

Lol I know. But I wanted to lay everything out there and not take another team for granted because we get annoyed when FBS teams brush us aside.

Lets win out and get that bye!

Point is currently 4-5 but has won 3 of the last 4. They are peaking at the right time and could be on a roll by the time they get to PS. ;)

Does the playoff committee release a new top 10 every week like FBS? I don't think they do.

It's varied from year to year since they started doing it. My understanding is last Wednesday's release will be the only public committee poll. We're in the dark now. With UCA losing and us winning, we're likely the 7 or 8 seed going into the Wofford game.
Not sure how SDSt. losing to Ill. St. will affect things...

Just gotta avoid that #8 seed. #6 or #7 would be good.

I'm afraid Ill. St. will jump us with their win over #4 SDSU. Ill. St was #12 in the coaches poll. SDSU will not fall far. Central Arkansas should tumble.

Yep I would strongly prefer to not be # 8 seed. For that matter an ideal draw would be to have NDSU on the other side of the bracket and to not have to play in a place with frigid cold weather or snow (i.e. Furman at Montana State in 2006). I loved our draw in 2017 (at Elon and then Wofford) despite our loss to Wofford. Great to play at home or to be able to travel to a not-too-far-away place. I am not convinced that playing the first round at home against a weaker team is a terrible thing vs. getting a first round bye.

Playing against North Dakota St. wouldn't be ideal but if Furman loses the coaching staff and players got their shot.

/NDSU plays in a dome. It will not be cold and snowy inside but it will be hellishly loud.

I mean, we've already played two FBS teams on the road. GSU's stadium was surprisingly loud when we were up there.

Someone needs to go to Fargo and punch that team in the face. I'd love for it to be us.
