Just an observation.

A lot of focus on tall/long players with size.

Sumter QBs rock. We rarely seem to recruit Sumter HS or Lakewood for whatever reason. When I was in school there we had our QB - Wally Richardson - who played for Penn State and then the Baltimore Ravens for a few years. Great academic guy too. So many FBS players and even some Pros from that High School. Back in the day it was either Sumter v (Doc Davis) Spartanburg for the state title

Maybe someone can correct me but I rarely see Sumter guys on our roster?

June 3 is the first "Paladin Elite" camp and seems to sort of "kick off" the camp season this summer.

I expect a number of these offered players will show up at one or more of these camps. We may start getting some commitments in the next few weeks.

some video on some of the guys listed with offers…

David Madzivanyika 6-4 245 DE

Conor Meyer 6-3 260 DT

Not sure if Furman can land both of these guys but they would really compliment each other - balls of fire high energy players.

Linebacker has been a concern for us - related to depth and attrition.
Some film on Aaron Davis - Gonzaga College High School in DC he's an OLB

Also, a lot more of a focus on Ohio, Kentucky, Virginia, and Maryland than we are used to seeing. Perhaps a conscious effort to expand Furman's map and get out of the dense competition for players in the deep south.

Certainly, Furman will continue to recruit Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and SC, but it's interesting to see the push north.

Lamendola is from Ohio - I've seen a few tweets about him visiting his old stomping grounds.
I'll make a guess that Pete Lusk could be recruiting VA and MD since recruits upper east NC.

From what they post on Twitter, it certainly seems like Lamendola is the guy that is probably doing the run between Ohio, Kentucky, and Maryland.

My guess is Lusk, who is from Raleigh, is doing some recon work in Virginia as well.

About Us

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage

GoPaladins.com is not affiliated with Furman University or its athletics programs.
