Very interesting article. Of particular note is the reference to ex lacrosse players dominating trading desks on Wall Street. I can personally attest to that. It is rare to find someone on a bond trading desk who is not a former college LAX player. These are very high paying jobs. That might be one of the reasons so many fine young athletes are switching their primary focus to lax, particularly from football. Lacrosse is starting to really catch on in the South and that augurs very well for Furman. IMO the Paladins will have a hard time being a contender for national honors unless we have more home grown players of high caliber. Kids want to play where their parents and friends can come watch them and we a bit removed from the comfort area for travel from the northeastern corridor that dominates now. That might change quickly.
