Downed WC 12-8 and 9-5 to claim the title. Hope the Bears do well in the NCAA.

Yep, certainly a 4 seed wherever they go. D1 baseball has them in Atlanta playing Ga. Tech. This wouldn't be a terrible matchup. I think Ga. Tech is way over-rated and doesn't deserve a top 8 seed.MidlandsPaladin wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2019 10:51 pmWherever they go almost certain they will be a 4 seed, so they have a big task ahead of them.
Hmmm...was 2017 so long ago?MidlandsPaladin wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2019 8:28 pmImagine they are headed to Athens to get pounded by the Bulldogs.
That hasn’t gone so well for the Bears this season...apaladin wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2019 2:09 amYep, certainly a 4 seed wherever they go. D1 baseball has them in Atlanta playing Ga. Tech. Anything can happen, but this time will be a little different facing likely their second best pitcher rather than a mid-week guy.FUBeAR wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2019 6:07 amHmmm...was 2017 so long ago?MidlandsPaladin wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2019 8:28 pmImagine they are headed to Athens to get pounded by the Bulldogs.

Georgia baseball falls to Mercer for the second time in two weeks
Down at one point 10-1, the Bulldogs managed to produce some offense, but the gap was too large as Georgia (15-10) fell to the Mercer Bears (16-11), 12-8 at Foley Field Tuesday night. Mercer defeated Georgia just one week ago in Macon 16-4 in a loss which forced Stricklin to utilize eight different pitchers.
I'm just thankful that we are talking about Mercer and their playoff chances instead of the short-haired dogs.
