I’m inspired by FU03times and all our contributors and I’m adding another $100 to my total giving today. Come on Dins let’s reach that 5k goal for our basketball enhancement fund.
Kudos to Danai!!!!!
To all who did AND to all who did not contribute:
Please remember that the Men’s Basketball Enhancement Fund is available for us all to donate to 365 days a year (366 days next year -leap year). (And the same is true for the Women’s Basketball Fund.)
If it was inconvenient for you to donate yesterday, please keep the fund in mind and support Furman basketball!
If you gave yesterday, thank you, and please give again when, and to whatever extent that, it is feasible for financial situation.
And to all who are more interested in supporting other Furman teams financially, or more interested in supporting the overall athletic program instead, or other aspects of Furman instead, do that.
I'd like to echo affirm's words about supporting Furman athletics in any way that we can throughout the year, and thank you all, dearly!
Thank you all so much for your support in raising money for this team. I am moved by everyone's contributions and the amount we managed to raise in just a couple of days. This is what HCBR was talking about on the podcast...it takes a collective effort from the school and the fans to make this program even greater!
When I started the page I set $1k as the goal thinking that I probably wouldn't reach it, but I believed that whatever amount I managed to raise would still be something that could be used for the program and help in some way. Y'all really knocked it out of the park yesterday and
we raised almost $3k in one day...that's insane!
I am a graduate student and I am surviving on very little currently, but I have vowed to give back to this program any way I can, and for now that mostly comes in the form of me attending as many games as I can and cheering at the top of my lungs for the Dins. As I gain financial stability, I want to give back more, but just having this fundraiser and seeking out people that are equally passionate about this team was the best I could do this year. Y'all really got my back for this one and it is inspiring seeing the Furman community, and in this case specifically the Furman basketball fan base, come together like this. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!
Having said that,
the fundraiser remains open from the school until tomorrow (May 2nd), so if you didn't have time to donate yesterday, you still have 12 more hours! https://dins-day-2019-athletics.everyda ... r-fu-hoops
Additionally, I'm a sucker for handwritten notes and I'd like to personally thank each and every one of you that donated to the page, so I invite you to send me your mailing address with a private message on here or my personal email
danai.agakidou@gmail.com
Finally, I'd love to have the opportunity to especially thank the person that donated the $1k to my page last night. If that was you, please contact me. I was at the Dins Day event in DC when I received it, and when I told the group of Furman alumni I was chatting with that I got an anonymous $1k donation we all lost it. I respect your desire to remain anonymous to the public, but I'd really like to personally thank you.
That's all I can say, THANK YOU ALL, AND GO DINS FOREVER!!!
