Timmons Arena construction cost was 10.9 million in 1997. In 2017 dollars that's about 16.6 million. Using figures from an earlier post in this thread , Wofford's basketball arena was built in 2017 at 35 million. Elon's basketball arena was built in 2018 for 40-45 million. So, Furman's basketball arena cost is 16.6 million in today's dollars, Elon's basketball arena cost is 40-45 million in today's dollars, and Wofford's basketball arena cost is 35 million in today's dollars. Something is horribly wrong with Furman's funding of basketball arena facilities.

We need our benefactors to step forward.
In addition to Elon's new arena (which information that I saw said cost $20 million instead of the $40-45 million figure) and in addition to Wofford's new arena ($35 million),
… here are some very interesting other relatively new or brand new arenas at some "smaller" D-I schools:
----California Baptist, 2017, $73 million
----UMBC, 2018, $85 million
----New Jersey Institute of Technology, 2017, $102 million
----Colgate, 2014, $38 million ("Class of 1965 Arena" [ "...built partly with the aid of 559 donors, a significant number of whom represented the Colgate Class of 1965."]).
----Grand Canyon University, 2011, $40 million; expansion in 2014
