Maybe the OVC is better than we thought ... Murray State crushing Marquette, Belmont won Tuesday and almost beat Maryland today.

I feel like I need to take a shower saying this, but go Terriers tonight! The SoCon needs a win desperately. Also, go UNCG in the NIT. Them going to MSG would be great for conference.

The Morant kid is awesome. I didn’t realize hinplayed high school ball in Dalzell. Yet another S.C. to play college ball out of state.

Please don’t bring that up again. Don’t need to hear how the coaches blew it by not recruiting him again from a few on the board.

But yes, he’s a blast to watch. So good.

Might be good news for WC. Looks like the Big East may have been overrated. They are 2-3 in the NIT and -0-2 in the NCAA so 2-5 so far.

Wofford beautifully demonstrated again tonight why they ran the table in the Southern Conference. They have multiple players, who in the clutch at the end of the game, know how to step up and hit the big shot.

I absolutely long for the day that this can be Furman. It’s so bitter sweet watching your rival do it. But this is good for the SoCon. Haven’t had a win in the tourney by a current league team since I believe UTC in the 90s. Can’t imagine they’ll beat Kentucky, but I guess you never know.

What is crazy is Wofford has at least 3 of those players this year-Magee, Hoover and Murphy. That is absolutely one of the biggest differences between FU and Wofford at this point.

I'm not sure it is that good for the SoCon except of course for the extra money. Did Davidson's run a few years ago do anything for the SoCon? As for the tourney today has been pretty mundane. Only a couple of close games and no upsets. I guess Murray State was an upset according to the biased NCAA but I think most people were expecting them to win.

I think it's good in this respect: SoCon would have looked bad if Wofford went down in first round. Also, if you want to get multiple bids then you have to have built some credibility over time. Having conference champ win a game helps that.

Magee got his points, 24.

But his stat line was crazy. ZERO rebounds and ZERO assists. In 34 minutes.

Of course it’s good for the SoCon. For one thing, it’s good for Furman as the coaching staff works even harder to put players on the court to compete with them. As for the Terriers, I’m predicting a win over Kentucky,

Listen, I hate Kentucky so I’m going to pull for Wofford. And they could certainly win, but Coach Cal and the Wildcats don’t make a lot of mistakes in March, so I’m not going to put a lot of stock in VMI as a common opponent ...
