I’m crushed, but proud of the team. Wichita is a damn good team. Really tough draw for us. I think they could win the whole thing. We were in it until the end. Watching MR walk off court for last time was heartbreaking. He certainly saved his best for last. We have a lot of talent, but consistency was lacking all years past the top few guys. If that can improve we will be good next year too.

Losing this one sure makes not making the NCAA tourney make perfect sense, can't lose this kind of game at home if we want to really grow the footprint of the program
Yet again the national TV exposure eludes us as we miss out on NIT second round ESPN

Congrats to the Paladins for a great season - and especially the Seniors. Tough to go out that way, but they gave it their all. Rafferty will be sorely missed, as will Brown's 3-point shooting and hustle. Too many second chance opportunities for WS, mainly due to their height. We will continue to struggle with bigger teams unless we bring in some bigger guys ourselves. I also think, at times, we become too reliant on the 3-point shot. Not enough driving/slashing to the basket and trying to draw a foul - much higher percentage rate of getting points that way.

Next year will be tough without Rafferty - will need Mounce and Gurley to really up their game in the offseason, otherwise it could be a long year. Would be nice to find a big man transfer in the offseason that can have an immediate impact. If ETSU keeps everyone in the offseason, they will be the team to beat next year.

3 points from our bench and their big guys going 11-14 with 25 points and 20 boards were the difference. Stevenson #10 killed us too. Stopped furman’s momentum several times.

Yep against a 14 loss team at home, we truly still have a long way to go as a program
