Is the Pioneer completely non-scholarship?

Makes me believe that Furman could have won that game if the option to play had been available. Clearly ISU was sleepwalking to the extreme.

Yes - completely non-athletic scholarships for Football & unlike other “non-scholarship” leagues, they mean it. In recent years, the PFL has stripped San Diego & Jacksonville of wins, titles, and playoff opportunities for improprieties related to financial aid provided to Football Student Athletes vs. non-athlete Students.

If Drake had won that game, in fact, it would have been a much greater accomplishment & bigger upset than Appy’s well-publicized win over Michigan a few years back.

Also, this is the kind of outcome, a non-schollie FCS taking a RANKED P5 Team down to the wire, that should completely dispel the incessant drone of those in the media & fans decrying the scheduling of FCS vs. FBS games. It won’t, but it should.

As we Furman Fans well know... “...on any given Saturday...”
