Excellent article written by the daughter of one of FUBeAR’s ‘OL pups’ when FUBeAR was a GA for the Paladins. She is now an FU Soph and the Sports Editor The Paladin.

Furman Athletics Thrives in the NIL and Transfer Portal Era
How the Furman experience gets student athletes to stay.

While big programs dominate the market with NIL deals and flashy transfers, smaller schools like Furman offer something that money cannot buy: a close-knit community, classroom-focused environment and much more that goes beyond the dollar signs.

“NIL, for us, I don’t think is gonna be a big thing at Furman long term, partly because the majority of the students are coming here for the academics and the athletics. It’s different, it’s unique,” said Furman Athletic Director Jason Donnelly.

About Us

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage

GoPaladins.com is not affiliated with Furman University or its athletics programs.
