Coach said new leadership council is Hunter, Lyons (both on last year), Mounce and Gurley

Coach has a new program called AllDin Academy, where he meets with the freshmen regularly for an hour in the morning, just to help them get integrated quicker into the program.

Referred to some Harvard study he read about on personal productivity (you can listen; I won't try to summarize)

Matt is rehabbing at Furman from shoulder surgery. Invited by an NBA team for a pre draft work out.

There was a good observation regarding scheduling, which is a subject of interest here.

When your record is poor recruiting is hard but scheduling is easy. When your record is good recruiting is easier but scheduling is harder.

I also gathered that they would like to redshirt Marcus Foster because is younger than most freshmen, but he has been been working very hard in summer practices and has been the 3rd best rebounder so far. Sounds like all the freshmen, including Ben Beeker have made good impressions early on.

Coach said to call the basketball office and they would provide a schedule. After making it a point I don't know why they wouldn't just go ahead and post one.

CBR said still have holes to fill on the schedule. With the Bahamas trip coming up I don't expect us to see the schedule before late August, maybe September. The way CBR is talking I am not expecting a great OOC schedule especially at home.

Latest podcast is out. Listening to Bob Richey get emotional discussing Matt Rafferty at the end, I can't imagine any player not wanting to run through a wall for Richey. He's a man that's going to win a lot of basketball games in his career. And probably a lot of titles too.

Coach is a special person...There's no doubt about it...I had the pleasure of attending the second practice of the summer...This team is going to be good....Not that it's a surprise, but I would expect Furman to contend for an NCAA bid once again in 2019-20...Watch Marcus Foster and Jonny Lawrence....These two...wow!

Marcus was really hobbling around badly on crutches when I attended practice earlier this week. Hopefully he can get back on the floor quickly. Jonny Lawrence could definitely be something special...6-10, can stretch the floor and shoot the three.
