With seven minutes to go they had an 11 point lead and looked about ready to break away from Lipscomb.

The announcers mentioned several times that Lipscomb was one of the oldest teams in D1 and Wichita State was one of the youngest (least experienced) It showed late. WSU got out of their team offense and several players took some questionable shots. The Bison stayed in their offense, kept plugging away, and started hitting some threes late in the game.

You can’t tell me Furman didn’t belong in the NCAA Tournament, but then again, this is a tournament that is not about the best 68 teams...You would be kidding yourself to think so.

I don't think it's meant to be a tournament of the 68 best teams. That is what makes it March Madness.

Agreed. Giving every conference an auto bid assures it's not the best 68 teams. But I'm OK with that! I would much rather have every conference represented. The cream rises to the top regardless most years. Even though this Final Four doesn't feature all number one seeds (they very rarely do), it features four elite teams that were all hovering in the top 15 or so for much of the year.
