Just a sprain. He will play. I don’t guess anyone will be surprised about that—the kid would play with a broken leg. If anyone can play thru the pain, he can.
BEAT THE SPARTANS!

Right hand. I assume Matt is right handed?

Thanks for the update. That is good to hear. Hope it won't effect him much.

Probably good as we could have hoped for. Fortunately he’s not a primary ball handler as far as bringing the ball up. Nor is he much of a shooter outside the paint. So hopefully his game won’t be impacted a ton. Other guys will have to step up. Gurley especially.

Furman uses him extensively against UNCG's press.

Good news. I had heard it was a torn ligament.

I’m at ladies game. Matt is spectator. Does not appear to have any wrapping on his hand.

Apparently my concerns were well-founded; alas, premature.
By the time Karl Hess approves Rafferty's soft-cast, he's gonna be playing with a club of cotton on his arm.

Yeah, Matt left the court with Hess and our trainer. But is now in warmup line. So whatever issues they had have been fixed.

The fact Rafferty stuck out his LEFT hand to shake when I saw him after the game says a lot.

Matt Rafferty played great especially with the bad hand. Unfortunately the injury turned out to b a major factor if not the factor. MR just didn't have the touch with his right hand. It was obvious. He was able to get his normal shot but just didn't have the touch. MR never misses 9 shots in a game. I applaud his heroic effort.

Just hope he'll be ready for the NIT. Will have a little over a week to recover.
