This article on March Madness has Furman “on the rise” in the bubble watch. Continues the national Coverage we have gotten; from the AP.

I think it goes without saying, our margin for error in the 4 remaining regular season games is zero, which makes today another big game!

What is the magic NET number for FU to get In the Big Dance if we don’t win the Socon tourney?

The best part of that article is there's no mention of Wofford. I'm tired of them getting our publicity.

That’s because it is assumed they will win the SoCon and the auto-bid.

Wofford is having a great year. The entire conference benefits when there are strong programs competing.

What we need is for teams like Clemson to lose a few more games.

Clemson lost again but they are prolly in. They have a very easy remaining schedule 4 sure wins, 2 tossups with both tossups at home. . They play in the ACC will have a winning record and have one decent win. That's all it takes for teams in the ACC.

If we played Clemson's schedule and had their record, we'd be saying we deserved to be in the tourney.

I don't believe teams should be allowed as at-large selections if they are under .500 in conference play. Zero exceptions. In apaladin's scenario where they wind up over .500 in the ACC, yeah it's reasonable that they make it.

Normally I would agree but the bottom 6 teams in the ACC are really bad this year. Gardner Webb is 2-0. You can beat the bottom feeders and be almost at .500.

My guess is we get in the NCAA tourney only if we win the Southern Conference Tournament.

I don't think we have to guess about that.

That was my point but I was diplomatic since there might be someone who would disagree!

Furman is likely a lock for the NIT barring a total collapse, however, this team is good enough to go Dancing...They can win in Asheville with the type of defense they are playing right now.
