Whew! I'd been looking at NCAA NET this morning and it appeared we'd dropped a spot (from 56 to 57). Thanks for the update.

Its very possible that with wins vs. VMI and vs. Wofford we could move into the 30's range, that would be outstanding!

FWIW, ESPN BPI currently has FU at #64.

But jumping over to their "Projections" tab has FU at #26 http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basket ... rojections

Don’t be shocked if we drop a spot or two after beating VMI. That what happened to Woffy.

SoCon is actually 15 in sagarin, for some strange reason they break the 2 MAC divisions into 2 different conferences on sagarin, don't know why

there are a bunch of conferences that if you look at the actual "ratings" are bunched together....in Ken Pom there is big drop after #9 to the SoCon at #10 and then the Mtn West, A10, Ivy, WAC, Sun Belt, MVC and CUSA are in that 7 team bunch....

in Sagarin the Mtn West is #10 and then A10, MVC, Ivy, SunBelt, Southern ,CUSA and WAC form an 8 team tightly grouped bunch....

Interesting that the Colonial is clear cut below those groups in both rankings....in fact Ken Pom has the Horizon and Summit above the Colonial....

If Wofford beats UNCG Saturday that would cement their top 30 rating and would give us a Quad 1 game when we play them the following Saturday. For you historians when was the last time Furman had a home game against a top 25-30 team?

Maybe not all that long ago, 2008-2009 Davidson Steph Curry was around that range (they were 21-4 coming to Greenville, fresh off their elite eight appearance)

From what I can find...
Davidson was ranked 35th in the AP and 32nd in the Coaches Poll for that game.

Actually, it was 1991. http://etsuhoops.com/ETSU/top-10-moments. I'm thinking they were ranked #13 when we beat them by 10 points or so at the Brown Box. That was the same season we lost the first game to 4th ranked Michigan State by only 5 points.
