Can we give the reporters a mic? Might as well have Charlie Brown’s teacher asking questions.

"The Paladins held a 17-point lead with 9:13 remaining when Devin Sibley hit a 3-pointer. The Citadel marched back, making its last seven field-goal attempts with Johnson driving to the hoop to tie 88-88 with 4.8 seconds remaining.
The rally continued into the overtime as Johnson drove for the go-ahead and kissed it off the glass for a 90-88 lead, the Bulldogs first since 25-24 of the first half, and they never let Furman come back, making 10 of 11 free throws."

Last season @ Citadel
We need to go down there ready to play a full 40 mins. and don't let up!

After re-watching the game from this past Saturday and reflecting Samford should be counting their lucky stars because we gave that game away to them, however now is not the time to be pointing fingers, plenty of season left, now is the time to fight harder to continue to build the program

2013 7 wins
2014 9 wins
2015 11 wins
2016 19 wins
2017 23 wins
2018 23 wins

2019 16 wins (with minimum of 10 games to play)(still time to get 23 wins or more and continue the growth of the program)(we have a top 10 road win)(we were AP ranked for 3 weeks)(the fan base is packing Timmons, selling out in some cases)(we have a young roster and coaching staff and still loads of potential for the future to continue upwards)

As I have said we are not there yet, but we will get there, we will!

Before last Saturday we were pulling for the top 3 teams to lose. Since we are out of contention for a top 3 spot I guess we now have to pull for the top 3 to win when they are playing the teams we are competing with for the 4th and 5th spots.
This week we need to pull for:
Thursday:
Wofford over Mercer at Mercer
ETSU over Samford at Samford
Saturday:
ETSU over UTC at UTC

Need all three of these---very doable. Mercer is tough place to play. And Citadel beat us at their place last year

Would be nice, plus if ETSU slips up on one of their next 3 games we would be gunning for 20 wins and 3rd place (at that time) at home against them Feb. 9

After we beat them, we should get some of the bellhops to carry our bags back to the bus.

This loss was one of the only times in the past few years where we let up and it greatly impacted our season. It cost us a SoCon championship, a one seed in the tournament and an NIT bid. I expect a blowout Furman win against a Citadel team that's been struggling lately. Go Dins !
