In our last game we beat the Citadel in front of 2462. Colorado State won at home versus the Air Force Academy on Tuesday in front of 2268. Ironic. (There are over 25,000 students at Colorado State.)

Jordan Lyons's 54 point outburst against North Greenville was the most points in a game since 2009, but Marcus Howard of Marquette seems to be looking to beat that. Howard had 53 in a win over Creighton tonight. He did need overtime to get to that number. Howard had 52 in a game against Providence last year.

Pittsburgh beat Louisville in a big upset. Leading scorer for Pittsburgh was freshman guard Trey McGowens from Wren HS, who was one of the first players the Paladins offered for the current freshman class. McGowens scored 33 points to set a Pittsburgh freshman record. The win snapped a 23 game ACC losing streak for the Panthers. Cristen Cunningham, who transferred to Louisville from Samford lead the Cardinals with 23 points on 9-11 shooting.

Watched the end of the Creighton - Marquette game last night and I have to admit that when he hit 53 with about a minute to go in OT, I was praying he wouldn't get fouled again to have a chance to tie or break JL's 2018-19 record.
