Furman women suffered a tough loss to Samford the other night. They were the 4 seed playing the 5 seed and lost by 1. Samford promptly got trounced by No. 1 Mercer - who will get an at large bid to the women's NCAA tournament regardless of the tournament outcome. Mercer finished the season 29-2, went undefeated in SoCon, and is ranked in the top 25.

FUBear or other Mercer fans - Any commentary you can provide on your women's team? I'm really intrigued by their postseason potential

Mercer will not have to worry about an at-large bid. Don't see them losing tomorrow. I know there is not much interest in WBK but what is the general consensus about Coach Carter? She has been HC a long time. I think they made one NCAA appearance? Just seems like they can't get over the hump.
