Furman men's basketball has been tabbed as the favorites in the 2026-27 Southern Conference race and Paladin forwards Charles Johnston and Marcus Kell were named to the preseason All-SoCon squad in voting by the league's 11 head coaches, it was announced on Wednesday morning.

I knew Baba Franklin was going to take a big jump. He really improved in season last year and took a big jump from the start to the end of the season. Really excited to see his jump. He reminds me of a Mike Bothwell type of player.

Marcus Kell was also one of my favorite transfer pickups. He killed us when he was at western so it’ll be nice to have him on the right side of the ball.

Baba certainly has shot at all SoCon along with Kell and Johnston if he becomes the scoring machine he flashed at Alabama.................

Nope had 6 regular season games last year. 4 on espn2, 2 on cbssportsnetwork.

Yep we did not get in an ESPN OOC tournament this year, which could have added 2 or 3 more ESPN games
