What a great season and a special team. We get fractured by the portal and put together a new team, predicted to not do too much, and go 25-9 to the championship game.

Lots of great memories and moments this season.

Pjay, Garrett, Hughey, Nick, best of luck in your future endeavors. Thank you for what you brought!

Nick F. Anderson is my new hero and it kills me we only got 1 year with him.

Thanks to the staff and players and admin and everyone who does what it takes to put on the kind of show we want to come watch.

What’s your fav memory from this season?

I think the season was a great testimony to Bob's dedication. He reinvented himself as a coach and adjusted to changing massive changes in the way college basketball is conducted.
I had no idea I would watch the majority of the games from a hospital bed on a laptop. The Well was hopelessly demanding, so I made my return at Wofford. I rehabbed myself physically, put my walker aside and decided I was fit for Asheville. I could walk but not very far. I'm still recovering from the finals and an arduous trip home. The three games were classics, and I've written that the atmosphere of the finals was comparable only to a 64-58 loss to Clemson at the Auditorium in 1978-79. I thought about it all the way home, and it's all I could come up with.
Enough of my personal travails. Bob doesn't replace; he constantly builds. I see great hope in the development of Bowser and Johnston as a potent tandem inside. Vander Wal is going to be a crucial part of next year's team. I have high hopes for Bronson, Molnar and others. This year's squad was cohesive. Entering the season, I was concerned.
I dreaded the games at The Well. I'm fond of a smaller, packed venue instead of a huge, sparsely occupied one. Of course, I had no idea I wouldn't be at the Well except for three games in December. Bob has a remarkable eye for finding Division II players capable of excelling in the SoCon. I look forward to more unexpected treasures. At the start of the season, I was hopeful but pessimistic. Now I am optimistic, even though the task ahead is similarly  challenging. The 1-3-1 defense was a godsend down the stretch. I love watching Furman play the game. -- MD
