CONCERN?

I think it is a little concerning that FU scoring has been down the last 3 games scoring 67, 61 and 51. I believe that teams know the vast majority of FU scoring comes from 3 and are defending it to the max. Our inside game is not great and we don’t drive to the basket much so I think other teams concentrate on defending the 3 and will take their chances on the other stuff.
Three point shooting:
First 3 D1 games:
Total: 38-97 39.2%
Last 3 D1 games:
Total: 24-79 30.4%
From first 3 to last 3:
Attempts down 18.6%
Makes down 36.8%

Maybe but still don’t like the trend. Can’t wait for the game against FGSU. Would be a great win. Btw Princeton had a great win tonight over St. Joe’s.

The decline in three point shooting percentage is almost entirely because we hit less than 24% from three point range against Kansas. In the other two games we hit almost 37% from three. A very small difference from the first three games.Does one game against the #1 team define a trend? Our two point range shooting percentages were better against Charleston Southern and Seattle than our previous averages.

It's early. Numbers skew up versus crummy opposition and down versus the stiff. No need to hyperventilate. -- MD
