• THE CASE FOR COOPER BOWSER

IMHO it time for Bowser to get more PT. We are currently getting little to nothing from Hien and Hughey. Neither is a defensive presence(rim protector) evidenced by the opposing teams smallest players driving to hoop over and over for easy layups. We are getting very little from them offensively as they have 5 points total the last 2 games(5 Hien, 0 Hughey) and zero points last night. Here is my case for Bowser.
Blocked shots: In 792 minutes Hien and Hughey have 15 all season.(7 Hien, 8 Hughey) Bowser has 15 in only 244 minites. So Hien and Hughey have played over 3 times as much and Bowser has as many blocked shots.
Bowser has by far the highest shooting percentage on the team at .711
Bowser has a huge upside!
Hien and Hughey have little to no upside.
Time to give Bowser a lot more minutes than the 2-4 he is currently getting.

thats becuase Hein and Hughey are 4s at best being asked to be the 5

it worked for Slaw but he is in NBA now

Not sure if juggling the lineup again is a good thing. It is what is it and they need to figure it out. It worked the last 4 of 5 games

Bowser for more time might be good but only if they kept him protecting the basket and not chasing players all over the court. And also had the 4 being the QB at the top of the key

GIve Woofy credit. They made subs at the 1 min mark and didnt follow the script until the 1st media break. Think that confused Dins a little

I'm going to go out on a limb here without a paddle but I will offer some other perspectives. Bowser. He does need more playing time but I think his film from earlier forays into games is being broken down frame by frame and then the weaknesses worked on in practice. I think that is where Molnar has been. Bowser will reappear and he will be improved. We have the players to play 10 full speed for 40 minutes of hell. ala' Nolan Richardson.

We can go small and we can go big. Run fast. Jump High.

I’d like to see Bowser get some increased playing time, especially if CBR believes it can help us in the SOCON tourney. Every bit of game experience at this level should be helpful. Assuming we can get one of the top 6 seeds, I’d get Bowser as much playing time as possible heading into what really matters most.

Hein is a 1000x better passer than Bowser

Hughey is a threat from 3. Bowser isn’t even a threat from 3 ft.

Offensively H &H are much much better for us right now. Defensively I do think Bowser gives us something those 2 don’t but right now he’s a liability on the offensive end.

Just saying we have no defense in the paint. Any 6 foot guard can easily get to the hoop with no problem. We gave up 46 basically uncontested in the paint last night, that is bad, really bad. Agree Bowser is offensively challenged but H&H have given us 5 points the last 2 games and zero last night, so it can’t get much worse. Not saying CB needs 30 mins a game but I think we all can agree he needs more than the 2-4 mins he is currently getting.

This team is not a 25-5 team. This team is growing, learning, and preparing for 3 days in March.

Lol Captain Obvious. If getting embarrassed by an inferior team is a part of the growing, learning and preparing experience then all is good. With only 10 games left, 5 home, 5 away a .500+ season is certainly in doubt. Man the season has flown by so fast as it always does. Only 10 games left to get ready.

I'll leave the Bowser decision to Coach Richey. I thought we had turned the corner so the Wofford game really shocked me. Let's go beat the Citadel and get this train back on track.

Wofford out played us. Not any single position. Just about everywhere.

…..and that is why the loss is so disappointing. The effort by FU was very minimal.

My opinion is that Hughey’s upside is higher than Bowser’s this year. For whatever reason he is in a little funk.

Hien is like Dr, Jekyl & Mr. Hyde. You never know who is going to show up.

We largely just had a bunch of folks play poorly against Wofford while they played very well.

I speculate that Illness, disease, pestilence, and injuries (nagging and more serious) have taken a bigger toll than CBR lets on.
