Yep they win 78-72 and ET beats Davidson,

Just read that the UNCG win was their first ever over a top 25 team.

Surprised by the ETSU win. Davidson had a solid start to the season, beating Maryland and losing by 3 to Clemson in their previous two games. Rebounding appears to have been the difference tonight. ETSU had 14 offensive rebounds - 8 more than Davidson. The teams were even in the other statistical categories. ETSU lost to Butler by 34 earlier this season. Butler lost by 20 to Michigan State tonight.

With Western beating Notre Dame and Vandy only beating UNCG any 4 and scores above-is the conference stronger this year?

Maybe, but reallt bad bottom keeps it down still

I think it is going to be better than many think. I think the bottom teams are better than normal. Citadel, VMI, Woffy etc.

Been more than usual P5 losses to non P5 teams. Just today 0-5 Jackson St. beat SEC 3-1 Missouri.

Bad teams are not completely unable to win like they have beem. Except maybe Mercer. I think the league is stronger just not as top heavy

After the first few weeks KenPom sees the SoCon as 17th best in D1....up from 20th where we finished last season.

Individually we clearly have a top 5 and bottom 5 teams...

top 5 are UNCG, Furman, WCU, Samford and Chatt (97, 124, 132, 156, 167)
bottom 5 are Mercer, Wofford, ETSU, Citadel, VMI (252, 256, 268, 288, 329)

Makes sense

Chattanooga lost at Lipscomb this afternoon 82-68.

When the ooc schedules are done we are probably gonna have maybe the 5th to 7th best ooc record. Most teams have pretty weak schedules remaning. WCU will likely have the best. Their schedule is pretty easy with only a game at very weak Vandy left as their toughest. They have a good chance to be 13-0 come SoCon season.
