Yes, it is NOT over! Now is the time to break our other, even worse drought in men's basketball. It is time to quit saying "our last (and only) win in the NCAA Tournament was 49 years ago." Good grief, that is even worse than 43 seasons. Of course, neither of those droughts are on this present Furman team and coaching staff. The people to blame for the 43 year drought, which just ended in the last hour, and the 49 year drought, which is ongoing until some Furman team, hopefully this one, ends it with at least NCAA Tournament win, is US THE FANS AND SUPPORTERS OF FURMAN WHO NEED TO MAKE SURE SUCH DROUGHTS DO NOT BECOME THE STANDARD FOR FURMAN.
Go Furman Paladins Men's Basketball 2022-2023!

So what is a fan or supporter supposed to do if in a future coaching vacancy you hear that that a coach with a 4-24 previous record is about to be hired and given a big contract? Tell me and I will do it. Having said that, this program should never be in such a condition as it was.

:( We have three to thank for the hiring of JC, the small, rather than AD: a Spartanburg racist who was very large $$$donor, FU Prez, and the Board of Trustees for caving to his demands. Such was the beginning of the drought.

Who was responsible for JJ? I don’t recall. What I do recall was that JJ never played BB in college. He was a football player.

As a well regarded Asst BBall Coach at Vandy, JJ made a very positive impression on former Paladin Football Coach Bobby Johnson…
