WCU. We can maintain home court advantage. Our fans outnumber theirs 3 to 1. OTOH, there are Bucs fans everywhere.

ETSU. I think Western is more dangerous.

Western is a really good team. Give me ETSU, even with their numbers of fans. I like their fans. They know basketball, love their team, and they have always been respectful to Furman players and fans.

Cats can’t miss - up 20-4. Can I change my answer?

About the best we can hope for now is that ETSU can keep the score close enough that it requires WCU to keep its starters in.

That didn’t happen. Like I said in the MU thread after the game. On to WCU and their boatload of transfers.

Are your sure? WCU only played 8 guys… 3 Starters had 30 minutes plus

# Player PTS FG 3FG FT OR DR REB A PF TO BL ST MIN
0* CLAUDE,T 15 7-12 0-0 1-2 3 2 5 1 4 3 1 0 29
1* JONES JR.,R 6 2-5 2-4 0-0 1 1 2 2 3 0 0 1 30
2* WOOLBRIGHT,V 10 4-9 0-2 2-2 0 10 10 5 2 4 0 0 36
3* JACKSON,T 14 5-11 3-5 1-3 0 4 4 3 2 0 0 1 39
5* CAMPBELL,D 5 2-5 0-2 1-2 0 0 0 4 2 1 0 1 22
4 HARRIS,T 3 1-1 1-1 0-0 0 1 1 0 3 0 0 0 12
24 PELOTE,B 14 5-9 4-8 0-0 1 6 7 0 0 0 0 0 19
32 GRANGER,C 2 1-2 0-0 0-0 1 1 2 0 3 1 0 0 11

Seems way different than the 1st game for the prior opponent … Against the bellhops, Mercer played 15 Players and no Starter had over 26 minutes…and they avg’d under 21 minutes. WCU’s Starters avg’d over 31 minutes.

Furman had one player with over 29 minutes of playing time (Bothwell 31). WCU had 4(Tyzhaun 29,Russel 31,Woolbright 37 and Jackson 39. IMO playing the earlier game and getting several hours of additional rest is the real advantage.
