Mercer is 0-4 in SoCon play. They have scored 52, 51 and 45 their last 3 games and are averaging 54 points per gane in their 4 SoCon games. Hoping history doesn’t repeat. The last time FU faced a SoCon that got blown out its previous game said team beat FU by double digits. MU got blown out their last game. Look for MU to try to turn things around against FU and expect them to play their best game against the Paladins. FU is only a 6 point favorite which has dropped so money going on MU.

Samford beat Mercer by 9, Chattanooga won by 29, Wofford by 1, and Western Carolina by 28. Mercer stayed close to Wofford the entire game, to Western Carolina and Samford for the first half. Chattanoga began to expand their lead after only about 8 minutes. In their SoCon games the Bears have not shown the ability to come back once the margin increases much. They were able to stay close to Wofford because the Terriers had a bad three point shooting night. Their bad losses also came when they had bad shooting nights themselves.

Any road SoCon game is a tough game regardless of the opponent.

I feel like this team turned a corner after WCU. Playing better D. JP seems to have found a groove. Foster starting to believe in himself. Hein understanding his role. If we can maintain our defense intensity and continue to work on ball security, the sky is the limit for this group. Hope I’m right.

Hope you are right about the D. Mercer scored 20 percent(9) of their last game total(45) in the first 2 minutes.

4 mins left in first half:

Good offense. Go Foster!

Giving up too many defensive rebounds. BOX OUT!

Still letting too many guys drive the lane but at least 3 charging fouls on them.

GO FURMAN!

Arguably the best first half of the year especially offensively. Don’t think we can play much better on the offensive end as we did the first 12+ minutes. Hoping we can put 2 good halves together.

MU has a nice little gym. seats 3200. Design looks like the leaked photos for Dins except for that hideous orange

It is a very nice facility.

Part of their University Center (UC) … kinda like the PAC, the Student Center (w/o Bookstore) & Food Court, and Timmons (and a few other things) being all in 1 building in the center of campus.

And there ain’t nothin’ hideous about that Orange. FUBeAR watched FUBeAR Jr. get his sheepskin in that arena accompanied by the sweet & soulful strains of the late, great Gregg Allman performing “Sweet Melissa” and “Midnight Rider” … so it will always be a special edifice for FUBeAR.
