I said I didn't think he would be hired by an SEC team. On the UFFP that is equivalent to dog cussing him and his family.

If they offer, he needs to jump on it. It will probably kill his career, but it will make him rich. Once he gets his buyout, he can come back to Furman. Even if he's as great as Roundball thinks (which is pretty damn great) he won't win at USC.

I am sorry but next year we could potentially have one of our greatest teams of all time, if Richey is taken from us at this hour I would do nothing short of blaming it on the curse

I am CBR’s # 1 fan and always have been. If and when he ever leaves FURMAN I think it will be a low point in Furman basketball history. He is irreplaceable IMHO and I have always said that regardless of wins and losses

My thoughts on the post season tourney stand.

I doubt S. Carolina has the smarts or the guts to hire someone like Coach Richey. Politics get involved that create a decision to hire a “name” coach.

There was no criticism.
Or if he thinks there was, then he’d better develop a much thicker skin very quickly before arriving at UofSC or UF, etc.
Of course, I realize the big bucks would make really tough criticism more bearable.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want us to lose our wonderful coach.
I know we will lose him one of these days or weeks or years. We should increase his pay even though we may not be able to keep him as long as we would wish.

I suspect CBR, JS and MB are together next year. I just don't think it will be at FU.

If he goes, I'd like to see what Tim Johnson could do with this team, after a decent search of course. I too think Carolina is too stupid to hire Richey though.
