Thoughts Part 2

1. 10 days ago we were the favorite to win the regular season. Now as crazy as it sounds its possible to be playing the first day.
2. 10 days ago we had a great chance to either get the auto NIT bid or even an at large. We have torn that chance up and thrown it in the trash.
3. After taking an 11 point lead with 15:25 to go when CBR goes deep into the bench and we score 1 point the next 7 plus minutes.
4. Not Baptiste, not Smith but a guy averaging 7 points a game killed us by scoring 24, a season high.
5. 21-82 from 3 the last 3 games.
6. Our bench is unreliable to say the least. Need to stop subbing 3-4 at a time. 42 minutes today 4 points 2 rebounds. Some are just not ready to play in big games. Wish they were but they are not.
7. Hate to keep bringing up the way the Citadel game ended but no starter playing 20 minutes got us off kilter and we have not recovered. On the other hand it sparked the Citadel to winning 2 of 3 including today at VMI. 3 straight losses for FU.
8. 3 games ago a 20+ win season looked like a sure thing. Not so anymore. All we had to do was win 3 of 7. Now we have to win 3 of 4. Prolly not happening,
9. Mind boggling that a good shooting team can all lose their touch at the same time.
10. Really think Jalen Slawson has surpassed NG and CM. I knocked on wood.
11. 9 of the 10 losses were winnable in the last minutes/seconds including the last 3. Not finishing has been really bad. We finished a few but not near as many as the ones we didn’t. Not finishng is a huge concern in the tourney,
12, Four games left that don’t mean a whole lot. Does it really matter where we finish or who we play? Uh…no. If you ain’t first you’re last.
13. Always enjoy watching the Furmanless tournament and have for 41 years and will this year.
14. We obviously peaked 3 weeks too soon. Team has lost all confidence in shooting.
15. As long as there is one game left there is hope but that hope is at a season low now after being at a season high 3 games ago.
