It’s Furman. That is who they are. That is what they do. Good enough to give false hope but never good enough to get it done. All we had to do was beat or even split with two mediocre teams, both on losing streaks to set up arguably the biggest game in Timmons Arena history. Now only thing we can do is try to hang onto second place which means nothing. Like the old saying “if you ain’t first, you’re last. This team has zero chance to win in Asheville, zero. Not only are they incapable of winning 3 in 3 days they are Furmsn. Doesn’t matter who they play. Irreievant.

Need to reconfigure the offense and they have a week to do it...coaches have figure it out as the players have no idea what they are doing and playing afraid of making a mistake

I think we have a better than zero chance to win in Asheville - the whole tournament. Maybe even a high chance. However, once we get into the NCAA Tournament, the chance will be near zero.

Too early to give up but champions would win both last games, at least one. Tourney will be very tough. Any one of 3 to 6 teams could get hot and win the tourney. It’s possible we could but last 2 games don’t give us a lot of hope. I still have some hope and need a major effort and win against Chatty.

Maybe a tiny chance. We are not capable of playing well 3 days in a row. On top of that we would need 3 teams to play bad. Not happening, Let’s be honest its just a matter if we win one game or not. One game is the limit.

The Chatty game means nothing now. They were behind the whole game at Mercer tonight and came back to win in OT. Doesn’t matter if we finish second or 6th.

Another frustrating game to watch - shooting was horrid again in the first half and team seemed like it was afraid to attack the basket. Defense was terribly soft as well, which you can't do against a long and quick team like ETSU. I don't know what's going on with the team, but it really needs to figure things out.
All I can say is we better be a hot shooting team during the tournament. Otherwise, we may be one and done.

But not giving up. One of approximately 6 teams could win the tournament. And we are one of those teams.
Likely- perhaps not.
