What's the limit on staff in D1 basketball? So we have a head coach and 3 assistants, which I'm guessing is the max for actual on the court coaches. And then Furman got creative and instead of having a director of basketball operations and a video coordinator we renamed them as director of player development and director of recruiting? I like the new titles. They sound innovative and touch on probably the two most important areas of building a program - getting the players to Furman and helping them improve in life once they arrive.

As far as I can find, the limit is a HC and three assistants on the court. I didn't find any evidence of restrictions on the number of support staff. This is a bit dated, but may help:

I also think it's a great hire. I always enjoyed seeing Daniel Fowler play.

Fowler is replacing Lewis who is moving on to ECU. This is not an increase in staff if that was the question.

Thanks. That was my question. Forgot Lewis was there and also didn't know he was leaving.
