Furman tweeted thanks to one senior, Clay Mounce. No mention of Alex Hunter. So can we assume Hunter is not graduating and will return next year?

That could drastically change the outlook.

This is super huge! Lose 1 starter from #1 Team picked in the SoCon.

Hunter has certainly had his up’s and down’s this year but having him back would be huge, oh my goodness!

Hunter is by far our best 3 point shooter at .407. No one else with a lot of attempts is within 5%. Yes it is huge.

Coach confirmed tonight during the postgame press conference that Alex has decided to come back for another year. HUGE.

I agree with everyone else that this is huge.
Even when Alex has a bad game shooting, he contributes in many other ways. He is one of those players that people might under appreciate until once he is gone . But I greatly appreciate him now !!

Looking forward to seeing him play another year.

I agree that he is vastly under appreciated. He plays well every game even if his 3’s aren’t falling. The drop off from him to his heirs apparent is pretty massive. This completely changes the outlook for next year.

I have had the opportunity to talk to him(Alex) and he is totally special. They are all fine young men though. Clay will be missed and will go places in life.

We are going to be stacked next year, 14 total scholarship players

5 seniors, with Hunter and Gurley being 5th year seniors
And a bunch of other guys who are going to get stronger and better
Plus 4 hot shot freshman coming in

Yeah we will be preseason favorites again no doubt

The scholarship limit is 13 but surely they will increase it next year with the covid thingy.

I found an NCAA publication which states that Sr.’s returning for their “Covid year” will not count against the scholarship limits for those Teams for Fall sports. Couldn’t find an NCAA document that states same for Winter Sports...one would certainly think the ‘not counting against’ would be the same.
