Last years team tended to finish games strong much more often than not. That has flip flopped this year as the team tends to not finish strong most of the time. Here is s look at the confetence games:
UTC No big leads or swings by either team. Won by 4
Mercer- Up 16 with 5:22 to go. Won by 3
Citadel- Up 15 with 6:27 to go. Won by 6
ETSU- Up 4 with 5:23 to go. Won by 12. (ET-4 points last 5:23)
VMI- Up 5 with 7:00 to go loss by 1
ETSU- Down 5 with 4:48 to go. Loss by 9
WCU- Up by 9 with 2:40 to go. Won by 6.
WC. - Up by 9 with 10:23 to go. Loss by 8.
By the above out of the 8 conference games only the home game with ETSU were the Paladins on the plus side in finishing the game. Troubling trend as it points to a lack of confidence, leadership or whatever but it is a big problem.

I agree with those who say we are lacking consistency and intensity this year. We also really lack a “go to” guy. Mounce and Bothwell have been that guy at times. Need more mental and physical toughness . Murphy for Wofford really epitomizes all these things and “knows how to win.

Time to step up tonight.

This is my biggest concern with this team. It almost looks like late in the game that they expect something bad to happen. Think the guys just have a bad mindset right now late in Games. Hopefully a couple of close hard fought wins can flip that around.

Players like Bothwell have just disappeared and that has hurt the team..not too long ago he had 32 points and last few games hardly any. They need him to step up.
