For discussion of our awesome team that is playing now, the game at The Citadel is Saturday, January 25 at 1:00. We need another showing like we had versus Samford.

Down and back for a day trip doesn’t allow much time for shopping.🥴

TRIVIA

Who was last Citadel b-ball coach with a winning record? HINT It’s not Les Robinson.

Ed Conroy was able to move up from the Citadel to the head job at Tulane. I don't know if he had an overall winning record, though. I think he had some winning seasons at the Citadel and seized the chance to move.

If it wasn't Les Robinson, it might have been Norm Sloan. Sloan was before my time when he coached at the Citadel, but I remember hearing that he was head coach at the Citadel before N. C. State. I doubt N.C. State would hire a losing coach at a smaller school to top their program.

Of course, Duke did it when they hired coach K.

Stormin’ Norman, ‘56-‘60.

Both he and Les Robinson ended up at NC State

It’s a “glorious” day. Our Paladins are playing today.

My goodness. Both teams look terrible. Hard game to watch. Reminds me of how we played at Woffy. It’s time for someone to step up in offense. Has Lyons taken a shot?

Pitiful effort. Very sloppy play.

Today is not a sure win. Citadel does not have an impressive record but they are at home and will be ready for Furman. If we are not ready to play, we will lose. We better play tough defense and work the ball and play together on offense.

We are on the road. (A)Won't get the calls, (B)3 pt.shots's might not be going in. Need to be tough and win on the road anyway if A and B are not favorable. I think we will but it won't be easy.

No kidding. With 3:00 left, we're only up by one: 28-27. Yuck.
