SoCon projections

So after November the SoCon (ranked #15 of 32 D1 Conferences) looks like it’s settling into 4 tiers.
Top tier:
74 ETSU (7-1) Lost to Kansas but has beaten teams in the high 100s like 167 Winthrop, 169 App St, 180 So Utah, and a squeaker vs 152 Ark-LR. No real quality wins though.
76 Furman (7-2) Some stellar early season performances vs 117 Loyola-Chi and 196 G-W in a tough environment, and a squeaker over 116 UTA, coupled with frustrating losses to 80 Bama and 131 So Fla.
95 UNCG (6-2) Lost a competitive game to Kansas but then a disastrous loss to 268 Montana St followed by high quality win at 66 Georgetown. Other wins vs teams ranked 330, 321 and 312 with a good outing vs 169 App St
On the outside looking in:
136 Wofford (4-4) Best win over 326 NC Central and also Ws over 337 High Point and 350 MD-Eastern Shore. Losses to 194 William and Mary 131 So Florida as well as Butler and Missouri
162 WCU (5-2) no real quality wins, and losses to 68 Georgia and a close one to 15 FSU. Best win at home to 196 G-W.
180 Samford (4-5) bad losses to 257 Morehead St, 275 North Alabama along with losses to 79 Belmont, 85 Louisiana Tech and 176 So Dakota, with only 2 D1 wins vs 262 Manhattan and 307 Troy.
Not a threat but don’t overlook:
235 Chattanooga (5-3) 4 wins vs teams ranked below 247 with a quality home win vs 123 So Alabama. A bad loss to open the year vs EKU and to P5 FSU and Tenn
240 Mercer (4-5) 3 D1 wins over teams ranked 232, 308 and 344 with bad losses in 2 most recent games to 231 Canisius and 324 Holy Cross
Games the walk on’s look forward to:
310 Citadel (3-4) only 2 D1 wins over 340 Marist and 298 SEMO, with bad losses to 280 UNCA and 245 Campbell.
312 VMI (3-6) only 1 D1 win vs 306 UC Davis with losses to teams ranked 253, 340, 322, 271 and 336.
