Lamont Paris is the hot topic after taking it so close to Illinois. Bet he gets the nod before CBR.

I think Paris is the best pick for Carolina. They need a guy who can bring in lots of players and turn them into a cohesive unit. USC is gonna want a quick fix. USC always wants a quick fix. I've been highly impressed by Paris this season. Ideally, we keep Bob and lose Lamont. -- MD

Agree, this is terrible news. Miller was our only hope. Look for CBR to be named SC’s new coach the first of the week. Happy for him but a sad dark day for Paladin basketball.

With CBR seemingly on the way to Columbia is there any chance JS and MB come back? They could still get a good degree but is that enough?

Glad Murray St. lost so USC can go ahead and interview Matt Mcmahon, maybe they will go with him since he has NCAA tourney experience.
He's probably more what they are looking for.

Gamecocks should put Dawn Staley in charge of both programs.
I know you jest but there is competition in MBB, not so much in women’s. A very few good teams then the rest.

So is it Growe for the new HC? Will there even be a “search”?

with no disrepect to CBR... he is a great coach. But if in fact SC wanted Miller, there is a HUGE gap between MIllers credentials and CBR. Even Murray St coach has 30 more wins, several Conf championships and trips to NCAAs. Tanner is on the hot seat and needs to make the masses happy and not mess up this search. Thats why SD beleives he needs to go with conservative experienced coach. He took a long shot with Beamer and it turned out ok so far. Can he do it 2x in a row? IDK

Stop it with the CBR is going to Carolina. You don’t know that. Just let this thing play out. Apparently, the Chatty coach is going for this second interview. But, if I was a betting man, money would be laid down for BJ McKie to get the job.

Not good if u want to keep CBR. MSU, who Dins played tough, have CBR in their list of targets.

That means theres a bidding war going on.

Not sure if CBR would want to go to MSU but its a heckava negotiating chip. Dont think Tanner could survive losing in state Richey to MSU

Matt Mcmahon (USC and MSU)
BJ Mckie (USC)
Lamont Paris (USC and MSU)
Chris Jans (USC and MSU)

Those names are being thrown around more right now than Bob Richey

MSU is off the board. New Mexico State coach headed that way.
