How the heck can Johnston be eligible and House not be eligible? Because J is from California and that judge says yes and House is from Ohio and that judge says no??? What stupidity.

This just illustrates what a joke the so called practice of law has become. Definition of a lawyer - one who can lie, cheat, and steal and get paid for it. Definition of a judge - a blithering idiot who makes decisions based on who pays him the most money.

The ridiculous thing about Ohio is that one Judge order says they can play while the appeals court puts his ruling on pause at request of the NCAA and leaves everyone in limbo still............

It is not ridiculous at all.. That is the way the court system is set up to work. Higher courts get to review lower court ruling. The higher court can affirm, reverse, pause and many more options. The US Supreme Court does this all the time and has certainly done it a lot in the last two years. It is not a perfect system, just the best one in the world.

Guess you just misunderstood my point, it's 100% ridiculous that today is Sept. 4th and there is no resolution to the matter because the court system is absurd. The US court system is total crap and drags on usually on the basis of bull shit.................

The court system is not set up to run around the NCAA basketball schedule.

Nah these rulings are complete BS, just a mockery of a legal system. Though to be fair, nothing new -- the original baseball exemption from antitrust law was the Supreme Court doing this "secret sports law" thing. Then a judge in Minnesota in 2001 or so ruled the Twins couldn't be contracted by the league, because . . . Well, just because!

Now it's to the level of individual random athletes, being a D2 caliber athlete and it's like you have federal judges on speed dial, utterly absurd.

Surely you are not totally blind to the ridiculous shortcomings in our court system beyond this NCAA fiasco lol.....
Just look at what will be spent to trial a women twice who admits to killing her 3 children (north of $2 million taxpayer dollars). I won't even begin to describe to you just how stupid it is to get someone who never made a single payment evicted from rental property in this absurd day and age...... I could go on and on.... Our court system sucks and this NCAA fiasco is just garbage business as usual for the legal processes of today.............

This article could easily substitute the names House and Johnston. Both House and Johnston are in class and are practicing with the Paladins. I spoke with some athletic staff in Knoxville last week and they were encouraged that House and Johnston would be playing for the Paladins this season.

I spoke with one of the two involved players at the football game and he is very encouraged, He said things are going well.
What does going well really mean? I feel for these guys. They or their attorneys have absolutely no control over what is happening. I still lay 100% of the blame for this mess on the NCAA.
