JMU has purple as one of IT’S colors (with gold the other). I hope this guy has Furman purple running in his veins. We all realize there are quite a few other schools with purple (one big one close by) where he could succeed.
We need to keep him!

Yahoo Sports has a good article on the impact of the Coronavirus on coaching changes. The following is a blurb: There have been zero coaches fired from the top seven basketball leagues – the traditional Power Five plus the Big East and AAC. Overall, there have been 20 job changes among the 353 Division I basketball programs, many of which were executed at the end of the regular season before coronavirus entered the American vernacular. These are drastically lower than normal, as 13 jobs opened in the top seven conferences last year and more than 50 overall jobs in each of the past two seasons.
This is not good market for coaching changes, hence, we are in a better position to retain our talented coach and staff. Let’s give him more incentives to stay and let’s continue to build on our team’s success.

The current economic crisis could make it harder now to take actions to further incentivize him to stay. I hope he stays in any case and not just for next season but for many, many years.

About Us

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage

GoPaladins.com is not affiliated with Furman University or its athletics programs.
