I count 15 players on our roster. Is Coach Richey going to kick a player off the roster to bring back House? Kick two players off to bring back House and Johnston, or do I not understand the roster limit rules?

We have 2 walk-on players that will not play anyway, I am sure no problem in having them sit the season out if need be.........

Sorry to ask, but who is the other walk-on besides Lewis? Honestly, I hate all this uncertainty. It seems kind of sleazy to tell a couple of guys (walk-on or not) that have been practicing with the team that they need to sit out this year. It also doesn’t seem right to move the recruits and transfers down the line either. But, I understand it is all about winning so I need to get over it.

The other walk-on is Wilbourne

Full roster is here:

Those two are Freshman and Sophomore walk-ons, they will not play either way, they can still practice with the team and rejoin next year, no biggie......

What about the Colorado thing, was it not class wide?

The ncaa fighting this hard still is just absurd at this point……

IMHO NCAA will either come out as jerks or idiots when the dust settles

Jerks for not considering the craziness of a team trying to deal with who is going to be on a roster

OR

Idiots for not taking this into account in setting the policy in the 1st place. They have allowed even up to 7 years of eligibility. So not granting 1 year for a handful of players to be able to play 5 years is really dumb

So basically, players in the Ohio case (including House) will have to wait and see how the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals rules in Colorado. If the 3 judge panel rules against the NCAA, House will be eligible. Decision could come any day or even hour, as both players and NCAA have made their submissions. Ohio appeals judge basically passed the buck to the Feds.

Yep, House has the big advantage being that he wants to play for the same school as last season (Furman), the ones trying to transfer will have it a bit harder with the courts....................

A California judge has granted sweeping TRO relief to more than 70 college athletes against the NCAA, including Furman’s Charles Johnston.

The order protects 2026-27 participation over fifth-year eligibility, transfer-portal and certain pro-contract issues, and blocks restitution/ghost-transfer penalties.

A preliminary injunction hearing is set for Aug. 25 at 1:30 p.m.

This should all be resolved very soon. I know this could still go either way, but there is no doubt that adding House and Johnston would make us by far the deepest team in the SoCon!
