How much money will need to be raised in order for the Timmons renovations to happen? Will the school be willing to help fund some of the renovation processes?
Good question, JD touched on this recently that the school is willing to contribute, I wonder up to what percent of the project cost they will be willing to go

Wish we would have been able to use the Lacrosse money that went down as basically a waste to help towards gaining Basketball greatness, what a shame

Per U.S. and Canadian Institutions Listed by Fiscal Year (FY) 2021 Endowment Market Value,
and Change* in Endowment Market Value from FY20 to FY21 its

838,971 another good year and might get to 1B.

839, 971 is 160th of 700 institutions listed

There are around 30 non D1 schools ahead of Dins so that makes Dins 130th of 320 D1 bball programs

Program was funded by a donor who wanted a lacrosse program . If you throw in an equivalent amount for Basketball problem solved.

That's my point, too bad that guy did not want to give the money to the basketball program that could have actually put it to good use instead of a lacrosse program that wasted that money, it was $5 million from the Total Wine owner (FU Alum) if I remember correctly.
If he would have given the money to basketball I would know his name well without googling it, instead he gave it to something unremarkable and forgettable because that entire venture was ridiculous and no surprise it folded, and don't even dare bring up anything about freaking women's lacrosse lol

Request for Dan. Since it has been so long since we heard from JD and way longer since we heard from CBR please get to as many questions as possible. No need to talk a lot about spring sports that few care about. Many thanks! You da man!

IMHO MLAX was not a bad decision. Its an up and coming sport, pretty exciting and great for a school like Dins

The issue was the coach... overpaid and did not produce results

with Mlax, Wlax and softball would have easily gapped the entertainment value of baseball which, lets be honest, never had a consisten run since its inception around 1000 years ago

Nobody gives a rats behind about LAX aside from a very very very small minority around here, and it will 100% never amount to squat around here that's why it folded, nobody cares. That sport belongs only on intermural fields and not wasting up a $5 million donation, maybe the total wine guy does not like basketball I don't know, would be better served to still be part of his net worth, it was a terrible idea and the results prove that. Now we have an actual need for arena renovations for something that could actually matter BIG TIME and can't come up with the cash?

Without knowing pretty sure if and when this hapoens it will be a football thingy only. Never heard anyone ever mention breaking up D1 basketball. That would be a disaster. Would have zero interest in Power 5 only March Madness.
