• Yes, Furman is SoCon preseason #1 next season, but what about the rest of SoCon?

Reports that Joshua Taylor, 6'9" 215 soph. at Georgia is transferring to ETSU. Taylor was a highly recruited, four star rated guy from the Atlanta area who had offers from at least 17 schools including Tennessee, Georgia Tech, LSU, Xavier, Virginia Tech, Wichita State etc. In two seasons at Georgia he rarely played. He had a total of 13 points and 18 rebounds in 17 games over the two years. Did all of those big name coaches and schools misjudge his abilities that badly or did the Georgia staff not know how to use his talents?

That UGA team won 6 games and lost to Wofftard and ETSU, if he could not play minutes on that team he must not be very good at all, that UGA team would have stunk even in the SoCon, looks like ETSU just needed to add some more size and he was all they could get

It could be said the previous Georgia staff was lacking knowledge of something, and that something may have included knowledge of how to use Taylor. Being recruited by Xavier, Tennessee, et al, he must have been great in HS at least.

The Citadel has an interesting signee - A. J. Smith 6'5" freshman from Charlotte, NC. Smith had 13 reported offers - including Vanderbilt, Texas A&M, Wichita State, and St. Bonaventure.
Money talks.
Confused by your comment. If “money talks”, wouldn’t he be going to one of the bigger schools?

Not necessarily if Citadel offered the most,
