54 Grads, seniors, juniors, sophmores. 63 freshmen. On surface doesn’t sound like a successful recipe but we can hope.

32 of those “freshmen” are Redshirt-Freshmen, so they could have all been in the program since as early as January of 2023 (as much as 20 months in-program by the time we line up against the RebelBearLandSharkHounds…so 53 and 1/3 ‘man-years’ of College Football experience).

And, they could have already played in as many as 128 ‘man-games.’ …so 11+ full seasons in of experience among them.

They’ll be ready.

It is what it is at this point.

1. We recruit well.

2. We have among the best coaching staffs in the FCS. I think our Strength and Conditioning staff is excellent.

3. We are not - and are not going to be - a program that relies heavily on the transfer portal.

4. Guys graduate every year. COVID had a lot to do with the age of last year's team. In most years, a lot of those guys would have already been gone and the guys that were backups last season would have already been starting.

I presume we’ll be able to count on those daily practice updates!
