In my opinion, only three good things happened in today's game.

1. Furman won

2. The defense played very well

3. It ended.

The game was about what we thought it would be - a tough low scoring game.

Two years ago, these were games we were losing. If we can finish with a winning record this season, I think you can really build on that.

Good win.
Beating Chat is usually tough to do.

Samford and Mercer are trying to help us out.

Anyone understand our hesitancy to run the option or why we went to the middle run so much ? I watched two prior games and the other opponents (Woff etc) killer UTC on the edge

I knew some people wouldn't like today's game because only 26 points were scored, but I had a great time in Paladin Stadium today. Both teams were aggressive, both teams were physical, both teams played solid fundamental football, and (most importantly) we got the W. I would love to have 11 Saturdays like today every fall.

Chatt has averaged 262 ypg passing this year. Today they had 154 yards....that says volumes about our D.

Adrian Hope with 2.5 sacks, giving him 10.5 on the year and VMI and Mercer coming up. That’s terrific. What’s the FU record for sacks in a season?

What I DIDNT like was was yet ANOTHER FUMBLE ON A KICK OFF or PUNT RETURN. Then we were dropping the ball at games end just trying to give that game away ...
I am going to have to go back and look but we fumbled a punt at Citadel. Fumbled a kickoff today ... fumbled a punt at Elon.. for the love of humanity ... now that I think about it I recall one or two more fumbled kickoffs. I do get that today the fumbled kickoff was by an upman but still we have had way too many

And the MENTAL unsportsmanlike errors. Are we trying to set a record with those ? Physical errors are one thing. Mental errors are another
