Hope Attack…

Furman Season Sack Leaders
Bryan Dailer 1997 17.5
Kelly Fletcher 1989 16.0
Kelly Fletcher 1988 14.5
Adrian Hope 2018 10.5 2 games to go

I noticed today that Hope is not afraid to blast straight at an OT, and quite often today the OT retreated backward.
VMI is a dream matchup for Hope - Hope will have to average 3 sacks per each of the remaining two games to break Bryan Dailer's record.

Reece Udinski the VMI quarterback was sacked five times against Tusculum and seven times against UTC.

our offense did not have it's best day,but thanks to a stout defense and an awesome fg kicker we survived.and the offense did put together a 10 minute drive that ended in a fg.and it included 3 fourth down conversions.but too many penalties, and way too many fumbles.out of five we lost two, recovered one and had 2 ruled as runner down before the fumble.the 2 fumbles led directly to all 10 of utc's points.also the utc db dropped an interception right in his hands.i thought Roberts looked a little rusty.but I expect him to be back in the groove for next week.
so the best of both worlds for the coaches.a conference win yet plenty of mistakes to clean up and correct this week.it is good to be back to even @4 and 4.hopefully next year we can get off to a better start than 0-3.

Clay's post-game comments sounded like a head coach after a loss, he wasn't happy. I agree with you Harris was rusty, he rushed two throws to Miller and Walker that just came in too hot. Clay isn't going to let the things you mentioned continue.

I think he caught one pass. Looked like he was sent in especially for that play.

I thought that was a nice gritty win by a young team. Our new look “amoeba” D wilth all of our players standing and moving pre snap seemed to confuse Chatty a good bit.

Ditto, I brought some friends with me that are long-time Gamecock season ticket holders - reminded them of some of the things that Ellis Johnson employed at Carolina. Makes sense.

I'm really curious to see what we do against the Keydets.
