Delaware playing tough…
I jinxed 'em!

Not a fan of what the Delaware offense is trying to do… seems all the outside stuff is playing to Montana's strength.

Two early observations.

Delaware is running it well on the Griz.

The Griz have an uptempo offense, but Furman has a lot of experience and a game plan to deal with that. Furman has two of the fastest up tempo offenses in the country in their conference.

Huge splits on Montana OL.
Forgive my ignorance but is this referring to the large amount of space they have between the linemen??

Yes. usually the space between one lineman's outside foot to the next lineman's inside foot.

Good news- supposed to be a clear day next Saturday, but high around freezing. Give us a clean field versus snowy field and we can deal with the temp.

Delaware offensive play calling has been awful...

The Air Raid offense coaches had the idea that they wanted to create as much space on the field as possible. Forces a defense to spread themselves out further and create more space.

Other programs do the opposite. They want to "play in a phone booth" as Hendrix calls it. Linemen's splits are tight forcing the defense to play in a smaller space.

UD's moved the ball well at times, they just can't stop Montana from scoring.

Personal opinion, but Furman's a lot better than Delaware.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
