To support:
The defense has been outstanding. The last 2 weeks they have given up an average of 19 ppg. to 2 high powered offenses and held both to their lowest yardage output of the year.
The offense had its first 400 yard game last week and had it’s first 500 yd game yesterday.
With that said every week is diffetent. Every Saturday there are ubelievable upsets, such as last night one win UVA beating #10 and undefeated UNC on the road. No letups keep the hammer down!

Now, if we just figure out what happened with our special teams on Saturday. Missed extra point, bad snaps, a miserable attempt at an on sides kick, and what happened to our punter?

Some national folks seem to dock Furman because of their lack of flashy results.

Looking back, I do not believe there has been any point during the season agains FCS competition where I felt like Furman was not in control of the football game.

I believe only twice this season has an opponent had the football in the fourth quarter with a chance to take the lead:

(1) Kennesaw State had the ball down on their 37 with no timeouts and :19 on the clock. That was the only game where it seemed we really sort of fell apart defensively.

(2) Samford had the ball down 6 with 3:22. They never advanced past their own 34 yard line.

Every time WCU seemed to pull the margin back to six, Furman would push it back to two scores.
